At Mystical Moments Photography, we are not just photographers in Great Yarmouth. Our work is not the only thing that's mystical about us. We like to live magical lives in every way we can, we call each other 'The Purple Witch' (Lauren) and 'The Green Witch' (Courtney). Growing up in somewhat chaotic environments we both have spent many years creating our own paths in life, it turns out the paths we created are a little witchy (natural) and we want to share that with our audience.


  • Cleaning your physical space Put out good intentions whilst you clean your space with products you've made or your favourite products that you've purchased, A clean space contributes to a clear mind.

  • Change your linens freshen your bed sheets, sofa cushions, curtains and blankets. Stagnant energy builds up in these places so it's good to clean them out once in a while.

  • Clear your mind Life gets hectic, take a moment to yourself and create a clear headspace. Engage with your plants/garden, read or take a moment to process what you're going through document and learn from it.

  • Body care Take a shower, and use your favourite moisturisers, oils or face masks. Nurture your body and it will help clear your mind.

  • Think about what you've achieved so far Take a moment to reflect on your achievements big or small. From waking up early and having breakfast to ticking something off your to-do list that you've been putting off for a while. Our achievements are personal, do not compare yourself to others' capabilities.

  • Be a beautiful soul Self-reflect on the person you've become or even the person you've been the day before. Spend time on yourself, write down what you could do better and practise it. The world is full of darkness, be the light in that darkness and love who you are becoming.

  • Appreciate everything From the sheets on your bed to the roof over your head, be grateful for everything and show your appreciation for others. That's how we make the world magical.

  • Spend time with nature and nurture Connecting with nature is proven to release endorphins. Grab a book on local plants and go identify what grows around you, learn something new and nurture your brain. Document what you have learned in your journal or scrapbook.

  • Spend time with yourself Light a candle, cook your favourite meal with herbs you connect with the most, grab a book or switch on the TV, lock your doors and snuggle up with a blanket. Sometimes my time is much needed when the world outside feels like chaos. Thank you for taking the time to read our self-care blog. We are in touch with our feminine and natural selves, and we hope you can be too. Being a little witchy and magical is not for everyone but we know a few of our readers can connect with us regarding our true selves. Don't be afraid to try something new or just do something for yourself. Be magical and just be you!
