So, how many of you have driven a golf cart? or driven anything at all?
If you are anything like me you suck at driving and cannot operate anything with a motor.
Just to give you a rough picture of how terrible I am at driving, when I was younger I crashed a go kart, sliced my neck open and ruined everyone's day! The dodgems at the fair, well I cant even get them to move, mega embarrassing.
Being an inexperienced driver, last year we photographed an amazing wedding at a beautiful venue but after the ceremony the absolute worst possible thing could have happened. Unlike my fellow photographer my driving skills are non existent but we both where instructed to run off and drive a golf cart each back to the venue to pick up the bride and groom for their couples photos! I mean I cant even play the dodgems at the fair so you can imagine how much my heart was racing.
So whilst absolutely crapping my pants and having my business partner laugh her head off at me, it was time to go over the smallest little bridge in the world whilst driving the most giant golf cart you can buy, all I could picture in my head was both of us landing head first into the water breaking our cameras and ending up covered in water and gunk and having to go home, I mean what could have been worse than that scenario! Well maybe the bride or groom being in the golf cart with me would have been worse.
So after a full twenty minutes of panicking luckily everyone and all camera survived the journey and the images we caught where absolutely beautiful!
